Abstract

Desain optimum harus terencana untuk penggantian sebuah sistem propulsi yang ideal. Pertimbangan harus diberikan pada desain sistem propulsi pada kapal yang memiliki bracket untuk menopang poros baling-baling. Lebih banyak energi yang hilang saat penyelarasan, sehingga membutuhkan lebih banyak bahan bakar untuk mengoperasikan kapal pada kecepatan terbaiknya Struktur insert memanjang dari badan kapal diperlukan untuk kapal yang memiliki v-bracket poros propeller. Kapasitas konstruksi ini untuk menahan berat poros, terutama saat kapal sedang beroperasi. Konsep desain yang terpasang memiliki kekuatan yang cukup untuk menahan beban dari poros baling-baling kapal dan tegangan geser menggunakan metodologi analisis metode elemen hingga. Dengan menyediakan batas dan beban yang sesuai, teknik penyelesaian memanfaatkan metode elemen hingga untuk membantu memastikan sifat dan karakter kekuatan desain konstruksi. Gambar model dirancang sama dengan ukuran konstruksi dengan model CAD (Computional Aided Design). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghitung beban dan tegangan yang dihasilkan dari perancangan poros propeller v-bracket kapal penumpang 5000 GT. Hasil menunjukan kekuatan desain material struktur insert bangunan kapal desain konstruksi v-bracket masih dapat diterima oleh rasio keamanan tetap di bawah 4,81%. Pada beban kerja propeller maksimum 98,7%, tegangan kontak adalah 40,61 KN, dengan tegangan 477,41 MPa. Penggunaan v-bracket memiliki manfaat untuk menempatkan propeller pada posisi terbaik yang memungkinkan untuk meningkatkan kinerja kecepatan kapal. Selain itu, dapat memperkuat konstruksi poros propeller, yang akan mengurangi getaran pada ruang mesin kapal.
