Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to IMEJOUR are subjected to a rigorous editorial evaluation through a scholarly peer-review process. Upon submission, each manuscript is initially screened by an Editor, which is a member of the Editorial Board, who typically appoints one or more expert reviewers (also known as referees) to critically assess the scientific content, originality, and relevance of the work. Based on the reviewers' evaluations and recommendations, the Editor determines the manuscript’s editorial outcome, which may include acceptance, rejection, or a request for revision.

Reviewers may choose to reveal their identities to the authors at their discretion. The identity of the handling Editor will be disclosed to the authors once a final editorial decision has been reached. Throughout the review process, Editors are supported by a team of Assistant Editors or a Managing Editor, who oversee the administrative workflow and act as the central liaison between authors, editors, and reviewers.
