The Journal of Global Community Service and Innovation (JGCSI) ensures long-term access and digital preservation of all published content through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This network was developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) and is specifically designed for journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

By utilizing the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system, PKP PN provides a distributed and decentralized preservation infrastructure to guarantee permanent access to the original and complete versions of published articles.

PKP PN is particularly beneficial for journals that are not yet registered with other digital preservation services, such as CLOCKSS or Portico, enabling them to safeguard their content for future access. For more information about the PKP Preservation Network, readers may refer to its official introductory document (high-level overview).

JGCSI is managed using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, an open-source journal management and publishing software developed and supported by the Public Knowledge Project, and released under the GNU General Public License.
