Peer Review Process
Each manuscript submitted to the Journal of Global Community Service and Innovation (JGCSI) undergoes an editorial evaluation and a simplified peer-review process while maintaining the quality of its content. After submission, the editor conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, as well as the completeness of its components.
If the manuscript is deemed suitable for further review, the editor will assign one or two reviewers with relevant expertise to evaluate the content, originality, and contribution of the manuscript to the development of community service activities. Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editor will make an editorial decision, which may be: accepted, revised, or rejected.
To promote transparency and effective communication, reviewers may choose to disclose their identity to the authors. The identity of the handling editor will also be communicated to the authors after the final decision is made. During the review process, the editor is supported by the journal management team (such as assistant editors or managing editors), who handle administrative tasks and act as liaisons between authors, editors, and reviewers.
