Abstract

The conversion of open land into residential and infrastructure areas, particularly in the Mutiara Gading Timur Housing Complex in Bekasi City, has reduced soil absorption capacity, increasing the risk of inundation and local flooding during the rainy season and reducing groundwater reserves during the dry season. This situation directly impacts the comfort and quality of the surrounding environment. Biopore infiltration pits are a simple and low-cost soil and water conservation technology, which is why the community service team conducted outreach on Biopore Infiltration Pits in the Mutiara Gading Timur Housing Complex in Mustika Jaya Village, Bekasi City. The method of implementing community service activities is carried out by providing education about the function and benefits of biopore infiltration holes to the community and providing assistance in making biopore infiltration holes.
